1995 W.C. Handy Award Winner (NY Metro Area), Johnny Charles has taken his CD “ROADMASTER” on the road from Syracuse to Memphis, to all points in between. Johnny has shared bills with blues greats such as BB King, Roy Buchanan, Jimmy Vaughn, John Mayall, Dr. John, Hubert Sumlin, Ronnie Earl and more. He’s received favorable reviews in “BLUES REVIEW”, “LIVING BLUES,” and “BLUES ACCESS” magazines. For his recording projects, Johnny has worked with musicians from the bands of Danny Gatton, Jeff Beck, Roy Buchanan and Eric Clapton.
